From a Flower's Point of View

The most recent Exploring with a Camera series with The Kat Eye View - From a Flower’s Point of View.

Yay !!!  I’ve been hoping that flowers would soon be the subject of Kat's Exploring Series because I just love taking photos of them.

This is one of my favorite flower photos.  The flower was part of bouquet from a dear friend.  After a few days, it was hanging over the edge of the vase – but still had its own beauty.

I just love this tulip photo.  It reminds me of a sizzling red hot lipstick.

“Underside” of a clematis looking up to the sky

Clematis resting on the deck railing before opening

The yellow orchids remind me of exotic looking insects.

Bleeding Hearts just hanging around

Love the deep purple color of this lilac

This photo was taken in a local garden center.  I like the blurred colors in the background.

It’s fun to see what colorful flowers will look like in black and white

Spring lilies
Pollination in process
and finally . .
can’t  imagine a Memorial Day without red geraniums

  1. Wow, you have so many gorgeous photos of flowers! Isn't it funny how we can continue to take pictures of them, over and over again, and never get tired of it? Thank you so much for participating in Exploring with a Camera!

  3. lovely variety and just when I think I can't take any more flower pics, I see another gorgeous color, or light shading the petals, or dew on the petals, and I have to take yet another flower pic! They're endlessly gorgeous.

  5. I love your flower post. Breezing in from Kat's link and so glad I did.
I love the name of your blog, I love what you said about being a "scanner"....yes I'm a scanner and I've been feeling so badly about that lately, wondering why I move from one interest to the next. You've solved my dilemma from the time being and called it "special thinking"...how sweet. It's all good unless it's special ed thinking. Just joking.
Will look forward to seeing more photos from you. Fabulous eye!!

  6. Gorgeous flower shots! I have a weakness for the very first yellow one hanging over the pot! I love the clematis "resting" on the deck railing before coming into full bloom too!

It sounds like you really had a wonderful time on another of Kat's courses in which photographing flowers was part of one of the lessons! I am continuing the courses too and looking forward to all the new content! I'm already learning loads after only one lesson!
